Keep warm in laid back cool style, with this soft slouchy seed-stitch hat.
The main body of the hat is worked in seed stitch (single moss stitch).
The bottom edge is worked in a single rib stitch using the smaller needles.
The illustration has been knitted using Sirdar Freya, a lightweight chunky yarn, but any chunky / bulky yarn that knits to a specified gauge of 14sts and 19rows may be used.
When knitted in seed stitch with 6mm needles, Sirdar Freya knits to a gauge of 14 sts and 20.5 rows .
The softness and lightweight characteristics of Sirdar Freya give a good drape, results may vary with other yarns.
This hat can be knitted flat or in the round. If working in the round with circular needles, switch to 4 double pointed needles or continue on the circular needles with the magic loop method during crown shaping,
